In brief

  • Bitcoin Suisse plans to relocate up to half its Zug headquarters jobs abroad—as many as 60 positions, mostly back-office and administrative roles—to Bratislava or Vietnam, with the first layoffs taking effect before year's end.
  • CEO Andrej Majcen said the shift reflects a strategic pivot toward serving wealthy clients, family offices and institutions with services beyond crypto, backed by new licenses in Liechtenstein, Bermuda and Abu Dhabi.
  • Majcen said the move is cost-driven, not tied to the crypto downturn, and that Zug will remain headquarters with the name unchanged.
