El investigador de seguridad de IA Roman Yampolskiy expresó su preocupación el lunes sobre cómo la IA avanzada podría amenazar la seguridad de Bitcoin’s (CRYPTO: BTC).

¿La seguridad de Bitcoin en riesgo?

Durante una entrevista con el empresario e inversor Anthony Pompliano, Yampolskiy examinó la relación entre la IA y Bitcoin.

“Así que, de forma nativa, la IA vive en las redes”, afirmó. “Mucha de la minería en Bitcoin fue probablemente lo que creó este excedente de hardware para que entrenáramos modelos de IA capaces. Así que parece haber una conexión profunda”.

Yampolskiy, sin embargo, advirtió que los sistemas de IA “avanzados” podrían resultar ser “hackers realmente asombrosos”, altamente efectivos en ataques de ingeniería social.

Yampolskiy, profesor de ciencias de la computación en la University of Louisville, dijo que con una IA sofisticada, siempre tendrías algo observando y rastreando tu actividad en internet.

“Puedes obtener videos falsos, audio falso, personas que conoces diciéndote que hagas algo. No puedes saber con certeza que aquello a lo que te conectas en un sitio web no es un deepfake o algo generado recientemente”, dijo. “Es un entorno mucho más difícil para no ser estafado”.
