MoonPay has added Cash App Pay for US crypto purchases, giving 59M users access to ETH, SOL, XRP, and USDT across 10 partner wallets without switching apps.

Block, the fintech company run by Jack Dorsey, reported that its financial platform Cash App has 59 million active users as of June 2026.

Until recently, those users could only buy Bitcoin (

BTC

) and USD Coin (

USDC

) through the app. Now, a new integration with MoonPay changes that.

MoonPay announced on Aug. 18 that Cash App Pay is live as a payment method on its platform. Eligible US customers can use their Cash App balance to buy a wider range of digital assets. The purchase goes through without switching apps or completing a separate login.

Cash App Pay Extends Digital Asset Access Without Block Building New Pipes

The move lets Cash App users buy Ethereum (

ETH

), Solana (

SOL

), XRP (

XRP

) and Tether (

USDT

) through MoonPay's platform. Block is not required to build or maintain the underlying infrastructure for those assets itself. Morgan Kuntze, Block's global partnerships lead, said the company wants to give customers "choice and flexibility however they choose to pay" while keeping BTC at the center of its digital asset strategy.

Cash App added USDC support earlier in 2026. Dorsey said in March that he personally dislikes
