Armstrong, who withdrew Coinbase's support for the bill in January, said he now sees "a path forward" toward a compromise that works for the crypto industry, banks, and American consumers.

His earlier opposition centered on two provisions: a ban on interest-bearing stablecoins and a clause that would have placed the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as the primary regulator of the crypto sector. Those elements created friction between Coinbase and the bill's proponents.
