Coinbase (COIN) CEO Brian Armstrong said on Thursday that the cryptocurrency market may be "on the cusp" of the next bull market after Bitcoin (BTC) crossed the $72,000 mark in its latest rally.
In an interview with CNBC, Armstrong also said he expects the pending Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY) to pass in September with the 60 votes it needs. "I'm pretty optimistic it'll get over 60 votes," he stated.

Armstrong acknowledged that ethics provisions related to President Donald Trump's crypto investments remain one of the more contentious issues surrounding the bill. "The President and the White House have put an ethics offer on the table that could go into the Clarity Act," Armstrong said.
"I think there's a good chance we're on the cusp of the next bull market for spot trading in crypto."
