La Comisión Federal de Comercio (FTC) anunció recientemente acuerdos que exigen a tres cofundadores de la plataforma de criptomonedas Celsius Network (Celsius) pagar un total de $16.5 millones para resolver las reclamaciones derivadas de la acción de cumplimiento de la agencia en 2023 contra Celsius y sus ejecutivos. Los acuerdos también imponen restricciones permanentes a la capacidad de los ejecutivos para comercializar o vender ciertos productos y servicios financieros y relacionados con criptomonedas.

Los acuerdos resuelven las reclamaciones restantes de la FTC contra los cofundadores de Celsius tras el acuerdo de la empresa con la agencia en 2023. Las Alegaciones

En julio de 2023, la FTC presentó una demanda en un tribunal federal contra Celsius y tres de sus cofundadores: el antiguo Director Ejecutivo Alexander Mashinsky, el antiguo Director de Estrategia Shlomi Daniel Leon y el antiguo Director de Tecnología Hanoch “Nuke” Goldstein.
