GoMining Launches Digital Bitcoin Miners as Gifts for Crypto and Non-Crypto Users

GoMining has launched GoMining Gifts, a new service that allows users to send a digital Bitcoin miner to another person as a gift, extending the company’s app-based mining model to a use case that does not require the recipient to already own cryptocurrency or understand how to operate mining hardware.

The service turns a digital Bitcoin miner into a transferable gift that can be purchased in advance and delivered through a single link. Buyers can select a miner, add a greeting card and personal message, and send the resulting link through messaging apps or email. Recipients can then open the link and activate the miner with a single action.

The approach is different from conventional cryptocurrency gift cards. A gift card generally represents a balance that the recipient spends, while GoMining Gifts provides a digital mining position that is purchased upfront and continues generating Bitcoin rewards after activation.

The recipient does not need to have a GoMining account before receiving the gift. During activation, they can use an existing account or create one, after which the digital miner becomes part of their GoMining account and its associated mining activity can be tracked through the company’s application.
