Launching October 8, 2026, the KROWN browser from Krown Technologies integrates hybrid post-quantum security with Web3 access, aiming to safeguard user connections against future threats and acknowledging that encrypted traffic may be vulnerable to later decryption. The browser’s development build utilizes TLS 1.3 with X25519MLKEM768, a combination of conventional and post-quantum key exchange standardized by NIST.

“The browser is where people encounter new ideas, new opportunities and new risks every day,” said James Stephens, CEO of Krown Technologies Inc.; with KROWN, the company intends to offer greater control over browsing and wallet connections, and also offers four long-term sidebar placement opportunities with sector exclusivity.

Krown Technologies’ forthcoming KROWN browser implements an experimental “strict mode” utilizing TLS 1.3 with X25519MLKEM768, a hybrid key exchange designed to fortify connections against potential decryption by future quantum computers. This combination, standardized by NIST as FIPS 203, blends established cryptographic methods with a post-quantum algorithm, allowing for a proactive approach to security even while quantum computing remains largely theoretical. The company’s development build has completed initial compilation and testing of five native socket connections, but broader validation and performance analysis are still in progress.
