Digital Asset Income Strategy reserve activated with first Bitcoin purchase, c.34% below all-time high, to be deployed through Tap Earn

Tap Global Group plc (AIM: TAP, OTCID: TAPIF), the regulated crypto-fintech, announces the first purchase of digital assets for its balance sheet reserve under the Company’s new Digital Asset Income Strategy ("DAIS"), a yield-earning reserve of digital assets, deployed through the Group's established proprietary Tap Earn programme.

Highlights

•        3 BTC acquired at an average price of £63,132 (c.US$83,600) per BTC, a total of £189,395

•        Purchase made c.34% below Bitcoin’s all-time high of c.US$126,000

•        DAIS reserve holdings of 3 BTC at an average cost of £63,132 per BTC, held and reported separately from the Group’s operational digital assets

•        The reserve will be deployed through the Group’s Tap Earn programme to generate income; Tap Earn has demonstrated consistently competitive returns since launch in May 2026 of up to 8.0% (annualised) on supported stablecoins, 3.5% on Ethereum and 2.5% on Bitcoin

The reserve

As announced on 25 August 2026, unlike a hold-only treasury, the DAIS is designed to generate yield. It will be deployed on the same mechanism as the Tap Earn book, which has grown to approximately US$8.0 million of customer assets since launch in May 2026. DAIS holdings are held separately from the digital assets the Group uses in its day-to-day operations.
