El gestor de cartera de la firma de inversión estadounidense Pantera Capital ha dicho que el "dinero inteligente" está ayudando a impulsar el precio de bitcoin al alza.

Cosmo Jiang, gestor de cartera de la firma, dijo en una entrevista del viernes en CNBC que la próxima resistencia para el precio de la moneda podría estar alrededor de los $80,000 y que, aunque era posible un pequeño retroceso, el "dinero inteligente" estaba ahora inundando el espacio.

Bitcoin se disparó esta semana tras las noticias regulatorias positivas provenientes de EE. UU. y la noticia de que el Departamento del Tesoro duplicaría al menos el tamaño de sus recompras de bonos a largo plazo.

“Por todo lo que vemos, el posicionamiento está empezando a revertirse”, dijo Jiang.

“La gente está pasando de estar muy al margen e incluso de un posicionamiento corto neto a darse cuenta ahora de que quieren estar largos, para lo que podría ser una tecnología muy grande”.

Bitcoin cotizaba recientemente a $77,412 tras subir más de un 23% durante la última semana. La mayor criptomoneda alcanzó un máximo de $79,319 a primera hora del viernes.
