Standard Chartered y HSBC han completado la primera transacción transfronteriza en vivo en el libro contable basado en blockchain de Swift, demostrando la interoperabilidad entre los sistemas de depósitos tokenizados de los bancos un mes después del lanzamiento del libro contable.

La transacción involucró mensajes de pago intercambiados entre ambos a través del libro contable de Swift, con las obligaciones resultantes registradas en el Tokenised Deposit Service de HSBC y en la infraestructura de depósitos tokenizados de StanChart.

El libro contable de Swift actuó como una capa de orquestación, casando y compensando las obligaciones entre los bancos antes de la liquidación final a través de los sistemas de pago existentes.

La transacción sigue a un anuncio de julio de Swift, la red de mensajería financiera más grande del mundo, de que su libro contable basado en blockchain estaba listo para su uso inicial, con 17 bancos en seis continentes preparándose para pilotar transacciones en vivo utilizando depósitos tokenizados.

Otros bancos en el grupo piloto son Citi, BNP Paribas, BNY, Wells Fargo, UBS, MUFG, DBS y ANZ.
