Trump Rebrands Artificial Intelligence — Crypto Bettors Saw It Coming

President Donald Trump officially renamed AI to “Super Intelligence” on Tuesday, proving correct prediction markets that had strongly forecast the change before the month’s end.

Trump signed an Executive Order to replace AI with “Super Intelligence,” or “SI,” across the executive branch.

The Order requires all departments and agencies to use the new term in official correspondence, public communications, policy documents and non-statutory documents, while doing away with the terms "Artificial Intelligence" and "AI."

Bettors on Polygon (CRYPTO: POL)-based Polymarket had anticipated the name change by Sept. 30, and so did the punters on Kalshi.

On Polymarket, for instance, the odds had surged past 90% leading up to the official announcement.

AI Safety Rules in Place

Trump also released the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, calling for independent audits, stronger internal controls and board-level oversight of advanced AI systems.

The accord was signed by Trump and leading technology executives, including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: SPCX) xAI CEO Elon Musk.
