According to a September 1 announcement by the DOJ and FBI, authorities also took control of websites, domains and servers they say were used to collect and transfer funds for Hamas and its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades. The action adds to U.S. efforts to cut off cryptocurrency channels authorities say the group used to raise money.
FBI Traces Crypto Donations
Investigators traced cryptocurrency through wallet addresses that were changed to make donation flows harder to follow. Court documents detail three seizure warrants covering transactions made in 2025.
