XRP (XRP) is struggling to break out of a tight trading range just above $1, as investors weigh slowing ETF demand against uncertainty around U.S. crypto legislation. The token has remained boxed into a narrow band in recent sessions, with traders looking for a catalyst that can clarify both its regulatory outlook and its on-chain growth story.

As of Aug. 9 at 1:00 p.m. ET, XRP was trading at $1.0324, down 0.61% over the past 24 hours and off 4.19% on the week, according to CoinMarketCap. XRP’s market capitalization stood at roughly $64.56 billion, representing about 2.92% of the total crypto market, with 24-hour trading volume of approximately $728 million—almost entirely concentrated on centralized exchanges. Over the past 90 days, XRP has declined 30.06%, underscoring its weaker relative performance versus other large-cap assets during the same period.

Supply-side metrics continue to shape valuation debates. XRP’s fully diluted valuation was pegged near $103.2 billion, while circulating supply was about 62.53 billion tokens—roughly 62.5% of the 100 billion maximum. For market participants, that gap between circulating and maximum supply remains an important variable in longer-term pricing models, especially when demand signals soften.
