This isn't prejudice; it's a post-traumatic stress response.

Last night, the Arc public chain under Circle held a live stream for its mainnet launch. During the team and developer showcase segment of the press event, several South Asian developers appeared on camera.

Then, crypto investors were terrified.

"Is this the @arc team? Should I be worried? They told me to sell," one Portuguese investor remarked.

Another KOL was even more straightforward: "I just sold everything I had on @arc after watching this live stream."

Meme coins and related platform tokens on the Arc chain faced massive sell-offs within the following 12 hours, with some tokens plunging 40% to 75%. The same phrase repeatedly circulated in both Chinese and English across community discussions: "When Indians show up, all meme coins die."

This isn't prejudice; it's post-traumatic stress.

Before rushing to criticize the community for "racial discrimination," let's look at a set of data.

BitConnect (2016-2018): One of the most notorious Ponzi schemes in crypto history. Founder Satish Kumbhani, from Gujarat, age 35. Defrauded investors of approximately $2.4 billion.

The catchy "Hey hey hey! Bitconneeeeect!" video remains one of the most widely shared memes in the crypto space to this day. After being indicted by the FBI, Kumbhani fled and remains at large. Another Indian promoter, Divyesh Darji, was arrested at Delhi Airport, with his involvement tied to roughly $12.7 billion.
