After recovering for a few weeks, Spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs have resumed outflows. According to SoSo Value data, BTC ETF recorded $390 million in net outflows last week.

Fidelity’s FBTC recorded the highest outflows worth $153.1 million, followed by BlackRock’s IBIT with $129.1 million. The other ETFs also mostly saw outflows on certain days, while some days witnessed zero flows.

Morgan Stanley’s MSBT loses momentum

That said, months ago, Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was recording a consistent inflow streak despite the cumulative BTC ETFs seeing outflows. However, as of the latest update, MSBT has also lost its steam and recorded just $7.1 million in otflows in the past week.

During this time, the price of Bitcoin fell from around $64k to $63,256.11 at press time. This indicates that the price action has been struggling to keep above the resistance level of $65K, which has been responsible for the ETFs pullback.

Despite BTC’s downtrend, Tudor Investment, owned by Paul Tudor Jones, is expanding its direct exposure to Bitcoin by using BlackRock’s IBIT ETF.

In Q2, the company increased its IBIT holdings by 19%, reaching 688,529 shares at the end of the quarter, valued at about $23 million. At the same time, Tudor’s put position stayed mostly the same, but it drastically cut its reported IBIT call options by 85%.

Ethereum ETFs followed Bitcoin ETFs

On the other hand, Spot Ethereum [ETH] ETFs recorded $2.26 million in net outflows, led by BlackRock’s ETHA with $16.39 million in the past week. In fact, it was only Grayscale’s ETH that saw the highest inflows worth $15.1 million during that time.

On the price front, ETH’s price action, which fell from $1900 to $1,893.39 in the last week, followed a similar pattern to that of BTC’s price action. In other words, the price acted as a catalyst, pushing ETH ETFs into outflows.

Smaller altcoin ETFs shine

Now, while Bitcoin and Ethereum struggled with outflows, XRP ETFs and HYPE ETFs recorded $2.25 million and $2.74 million in inflows, respectively. Interestingly, the Solana ETF recorded  the maximum inflows of $10.26 million. Outflows in the smaller altcoin case were limited to the only DOGE ETF, which was worth $564.84K.

This came on the heels of AMBCrypto previously reporting that roughly 1,470 ETFs could be launched by the end of 2026 if the current launch rate holds. When compared to the previous record of roughly 1,050 new ETFs set in 2025, this would represent a significant increase.

However, with the crypto market still sitting on edge in the “Fear” zone at 31, concerns remain of a full-blown market recovery.

Final Summary

  • Both Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs recorded outflows in the past week.
  • However, smaller altcoin ETFs mostly saw inflows, with the SOL ETF topping the charts with maximum inflows.
