The calm weekend tape follows a much larger move. Coinbase’s Sept. 18 UTC candle rose 5.93%, from $76,348.74 to $80,875.04, with 12,360 bitcoin changing hands. Saturday volume stood near 3,237 bitcoin at the quote time, about 74% below Friday’s total.
The cleanest measurable support came from U.S. spot bitcoin funds. They took in a reported $433 million on Friday, their strongest session since Sept. 3, according to The Block’s analysis of SoSoValue data. That sounds emphatic until the rest of the week is put back into view.
Five sessions, almost no net inflow
Source: Farside Investors daily table and SoSoValue data reported by The Block. Figures are rounded, so the published weekly total is $6.2 million.
The two losing sessions removed $746.3 million. Thursday and Friday restored $592.5 million, leaving a $153.8 million gap before Monday’s inflow is counted. The final weekly gain of roughly $6 million is therefore closer to flat than the Friday headline suggests.
