Le Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) est en hausse de 6 % et s'échange à 68 400 $ US le 19 août après que le secrétaire au Trésor Scott Bessent a annoncé son intention d'intervenir sur le marché obligataire.

Bessent a déclaré que le département du Trésor des États-Unis allait plus que doubler ses rachats de dette, entraînant une forte baisse des rendements des obligations d'État.

Les rendements des obligations du Trésor à 10 et 30 ans ont diminué suite à l'annonce des rachats par le gouvernement, ce qui a stimulé les actifs à risque tels que les actions et la crypto.

Le rendement de l'obligation du Trésor à 30 ans a perdu plus de huit points de base pour tomber à 5,202 %, tandis que le rendement du Trésor américain à 10 ans a perdu plus de quatre points de base pour s'échanger à 4,66 %.

Les prix des obligations dans le monde entier ont été sous pression cette semaine en raison des inquiétudes croissantes concernant les prix élevés du pétrole et des craintes d'une aggravation de l'inflation.

Il existe également des inquiétudes concernant les niveaux d'endettement aux États-Unis et dans d'autres économies majeures telles que le Japon et l'Allemagne, ainsi qu'une incertitude géopolitique croissante, particulièrement au Moyen-Orient.
