Le prix du Bitcoin, la cryptomonnaie la plus précieuse au monde par capitalisation boursière, a dépassé les $80,000 pour la première fois en plus de trois mois mardi.

Le Bitcoin (BTC) était à $80,836.00 vers 2:30 am IST. BTC était le ticker le plus tendance sur Stocktwits au moment de la rédaction, avec le sentiment des particuliers pour la cryptomonnaie grimpant au cours de la semaine dernière vers « extrêmement haussier ». L'Ethereum (ETH) était en hausse de près de 1.8%, au-dessus du niveau de $2,500.

Cette flambée survient dans un contexte de développements macroéconomiques et politiques mixtes, notamment le regain de tensions entre les États-Unis et l'Iran, la décision du Trésor d'étendre les rachats d'obligations et la pression continue du président Donald Trump pour une réglementation favorable aux cryptomonnaies.

Le Bitcoin est apparu comme un bénéficiaire clé de l'initiative du Trésor américain visant à soutenir la partie longue du marché obligataire. La décision de doubler les rachats d'obligations à long terme a fait baisser les rendements du Trésor et a affaibli le dollar, incitant les investisseurs à se tourner vers des réserves de valeur alternatives telles que le Bitcoin et l'or, qui ont été les actifs majeurs les moins performants cette année.
