Chainlink Exec Taylor Lindman Joins SEC Crypto Task Force

Taylor Lindman, who served as deputy general counsel at blockchain middleware firm Chainlink Labs, has been appointed as chief counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission's Crypto Task Force. His appointment fills a vacancy left by Michael Selig, who departed the role in December 2025 to become chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Lindman spent more than five years at Chainlink Labs across several positions, including associate general counsel and deputy general counsel. During his time there, he was responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulations.

He was also part of a delegation that met directly with the Crypto Task Force in March 2025 to discuss crypto regulation, including token taxonomy and securities record-keeping requirements.
