Alex Svanevik, co-founder and CEO of global blockchain data analytics firm Nansen, has identified $60,000 as Bitcoin's long-term price floor, expressing strong conviction that the cryptocurrency will never fall below this threshold again. The remarks, made as Bitcoin has been trading sideways around the $60,000 level in recent months, have reignited debate over the market's direction.

In an interview with CoinTelegraph Magazine's "Trade Secrets" published on the 8th (local time), Svanevik stated, "Personally, I don't think Bitcoin will go below $60,000 again. Prices below $60,000 are now a thing of the past, and I believe that will be the case forever." His "permanent floor" thesis is grounded in an analysis of ongoing monetary expansion by central banks worldwide.

He assessed that Bitcoin has established itself as a hedge against central bank money printing, explaining that this macroeconomic trend will firmly support the asset's downside. "The global monetary expansion cycle is not going to end anytime soon," Svanevik added. "This liquidity expansion will continue to support Bitcoin's price floor."

However, veteran digital asset investor Michael Turpin, who participated in the same interview, presented a completely opposite view, highlighting the market's uncertainty. Turpin warned that "the market still needs to experience more pain," suggesting Bitcoin could fall to around $40,000 — a roughly 66% decline from its all-time high of $126,100 recorded in October 2025.
