Saylor moves $297M in BTC: Strategy selling or wallet shuffle?

A ~$297M Bitcoin BTCUSD move by Strategy MSTR sparked questions over whether Michael Saylor’s company was selling BTC. But the transfer appears to have been a wallet reshuffle, not a sale.

Lookonchain reported on X that Strategy moved 3.57K Bitcoin on Tuesday. The timing is notable because the transfer came just a day after it bought another 1.67K BTC for $142.7M, taking its holdings to 847.67K BTC.

On-chain analysis identified the receiving addresses as part of Fidelity’s custody system, suggesting the $297M movement was internal rather than a reduction in Strategy’s Bitcoin position.

Bitcoin recovered to ~$84.5K before settling near $83.9K, while Strategy stock traded around $156.51, down roughly 3% over the week. BTC liquidations stood at ~$68M over 24 hours, split almost evenly between longs and shorts.

However, the bigger picture fits Saylor's latest description for the company: Bitcoin is "digital capital," MSTR is "digital equity," and STRC STRC is "digital credit." The latest transfer appears consistent with managing that large Bitcoin treasury rather than exiting it.
