SEC Crypto Proposal Puts XRP Bulls On High Alert DailyCoin

Fire Hustle is framing an upcoming U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission meeting as a potentially important regulatory catalyst for XRP, arguing that clearer rules could arrive even if Congress delays the Crypto Clarity Act.

The YouTube video points to an SEC meeting scheduled for Friday, August 14, at 10 a.m. Eastern, alongside comments from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on advancing crypto regulation.

Summer, the host of Fire Hustle show, argues that the developments could improve the environment for U.S. crypto projects seeking to raise capital, though the video’s price targets of $5, $7 and $10 for XRP remain speculative.

SEC agenda could open a new crypto rule-making process

According to the episode, the SEC will consider issuing a proposed release for a tailored offering regime covering certain investment contracts involving crypto-assets. The proposal is described as part of a broader “Project Crypto” effort and, if approved, would begin a public-comment process rather than immediately create binding rules.

Fire Hustle says the framework could offer qualifying crypto projects exemptions or pathways to raise capital without undergoing full securities registration. It could also include safe harbors that allow SEC oversight to end once a project has become sufficiently decentralized and its founding team no longer performs key managerial functions.

“Final Rules would still be months away,” the host notes, while arguing that a favorable vote would nevertheless signal a more accommodating SEC posture toward the sector.

Clarity Act delay leaves regulators in focus

The YouTube episode notes the Crypto Clarity Act has been pushed back to September 15, while claiming the CFTC is prepared to move forward on crypto regulation regardless of whether Congress passes the legislation. The host views agency-led action as a short-term bridge, not a permanent substitute for congressional lawmaking.

That distinction matters. SEC rulemaking could reduce uncertainty around token offerings and registration requirements, but it would not necessarily settle broader questions over the division of authority between the SEC and CFTC.

The commentator also cites Donald Trump’s stated intention to consider lowering capital-gains taxes as another potentially supportive development for digital-asset markets.

XRP rebounds after testing roughly $1

XRP was said to be up about 4% following the regulatory headlines after falling to approximately $0.98-$0.99, depending on the exchange. The host interprets the move as a possible “sweep” of prior lows, citing past chart patterns in which XRP briefly broke below a low before posting a sharp reaction upward.

Still, Fire Hustle acknowledges that XRP can fall further. The commentator says they added to their XRP position and opened a long trade, presenting the $1 area as a psychological accumulation level.

For investors, the immediate issue is not whether the SEC proposal guarantees a rally, but whether it produces concrete guidance that institutions can rely on. A public proposal could improve sentiment; enforceable rules, if they eventually arrive, would carry far greater weight for XRP and the wider crypto market.
