Major cryptocurrencies are showing renewed volatility after a series of sharp breakouts, with Uniswap (UNI), Near Protocol (NEAR), Hyperliquid (HYPE), and Bitcoin (BTC) each encountering potential turning points. Recent price movements have brought all four assets to key resistance levels, raising questions about the sustainability of their rallies.

UNI surges but faces possible correction

Uniswap, a leading decentralized exchange protocol and governance token, has demonstrated impressive strength after briefly reaching $9.44. The token is now trading near $8.69, maintaining much of its momentum from a breakout that started around $3.20 in mid-August. This rally has almost tripled UNI’s value from its local bottom.

The latest advance was significant as UNI overcame the $7.20–$7.50 region after being rejected from that range earlier in September. Following the rejection, UNI corrected to $5.90 but sellers failed to push the token to a new low. Instead, the price consolidated between $6.00 and $6.70 before surging higher.

However, the upper wick near $9.44 suggests intense selling pressure above $9.00, increasing the likelihood of a short-term pullback. Maintaining price action above $7.80–$8.00 is seen as critical for bulls, with $7.20–$7.50 serving as a secondary support band. On renewed buying, targets re-emerge at $9.00 and $9.44, while $10 stands out as an important psychological threshold. Risk is now greater for those chasing new highs versus those who entered at breakout levels.
