Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper expects Bitcoinwww.benzinga.com/quote/BTC-USD(CRYPTO: BTC) to hit $250,000 within two years, driven by growing adoption, AI and fewer financial intermediaries.

Speaking in an interview with Coinage on Sept. 10, Draper predicted Bitcoin to reach $250,000 within two years, driven by wider adoption and easier everyday use.

He expects more retailers to accept Bitcoin, potentially creating a tipping point where consumers shift savings from dollars into BTC.

“It’ll happen almost overnight when it happens,” Draper said, predicting a rush out of dollars if Bitcoin becomes widely preferred for commerce.

He urged “everybody to buy enough Bitcoin” for their family to survive six months, while companies should hold enough for four weeks of payroll and governments should add BTC to their treasuries.

Draper sees blockchain and smart contracts reducing reliance on financial intermediaries.

He expects AI to speed up Bitcoin adoption by helping developers build software that makes BTC easier to use.

Quantum computing is only an existential threat, he argued as it will ultimately make the Bitcoin network stronger.
