Bitcoin price prediction for September 5 stays bullish above $79,112, with $82,800 the level that would end the case that Bitcoin remains in a broader downtrend. $BTC holds near $80,955 after clearing $82,000 for the first time since May 11.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: Can $BTC Hold the Breakout Above $82K?

$BTC trades near $80,954.69, up 0.13% after touching an intraday high of $81,283 inside a rising channel that’s held since the August 21 breakout from $70,700. The channel’s lower boundary tracks closely with the 50-EMA at $78,224.14, while the 20-EMA at $79,112.13 sits just below current price as the first level bulls need to defend.

RSI at 67.31 climbed back toward the zone that capped Bitcoin’s last major push in late August, when the indicator briefly cleared 80 before the move stalled into a multi-week consolidation. That’s room to run before overbought conditions become a concern, not a warning sign yet.
