As Bitcoin dipped below $80,000 following a peak of $81,280, strong fund inflows and the upcoming Fed message have taken center stage in the market.
Bitcoin traded just below the $80,000 level during Asian trading hours. According to CoinDesk data, the price has risen approximately 2% over the last 24 hours, pulling back after hitting $81,280 overnight. Markets are awaiting U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s first Jackson Hole speech later today.
The annual meeting held in Wyoming is monitored as one of the key events where Fed chairs deliver important messages regarding interest rate policy. Warsh’s speech could provide the first comprehensive signals regarding the direction of rates ahead of the Fed meeting on September 16.

In the U.S., exchange-traded funds that directly track the price of Bitcoin—specifically spot Bitcoin ETFs—attracted $2.8 billion in investment over eight consecutive sessions. Total inflows in August have exceeded $3 billion, approaching the strongest month of 2026 so far.
While fund purchases continue, interest rate expectations are exerting pressure in the opposite direction. Futures markets are pricing in a 35% probability of a rate hike in September, while expectations for a hike by December are fully priced in. Bitcoin, meanwhile, has gained approximately 9% over the past week.
Among altcoins, Solana rose approximately 4% daily to approach $101, bringing its weekly gains to 20%. Ethereum gained just over 1%, while XRP rose by over 2%. Warsh’s message will be closely watched to see if Bitcoin can maintain its position around $80,000 despite strong fund demand.
