Coinbase CEO recalls sending one bitcoin to entice early users

So, you recently said Bitcoin's bottomed and it's headed to $400,000 by 2030. We have to end with, you know, a uh thoughts on Bitcoin in the market here.

Yeah, well, you know, predicting the future is always difficult and none of this is investment advice, but I, you know, I do think it's interesting to go look at the the cycles that Bitcoin's gone through over the last uh 10 years or more and uh I guess really since um, yeah, 2009 or so when it first came out, it's been longer than that, but

uh, you know, it's gone through many of these cycles now where um it'll have run-ups often times around the Bitcoin having events, which where the amount of Bitcoin being mined gets cut in half.

And then you'll see drawdowns and usually they last about a year or so. We've just gone through one of those recently. And so nobody knows for sure, but if it follows similar patterns to the past, hopefully we've seen the bottom of this cycle around 60k or so on Bitcoin and it's up a little bit from that now. And yeah, my my hope is by 2030, we could see a $300,000, $400,000 Bitcoin and um

I think it'll keep going through these cycles. And then of course, you know, all the other parts of crypto are growing like wildfire regardless of the price of Bitcoin, you know, stable coins and perpetual futures and prediction markets and agentic finance are just are just growing really nicely regardless of what the price of Bitcoin's doing. So, it's important to keep that in mind as well.
