Crypto Market Cap Gains $210 Billion After Senate Clarity Act Vote Fails

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has risen by more than $210 billion after a procedural vote on the Clarity Act, a U.S. crypto market structure bill, failed in the Senate.

Cointelegraph wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Sept. 19 that more than $210 billion had been added to the crypto market after the Clarity Act vote failed.

The Clarity Act was put to a procedural vote in the Senate on Sept. 15 to open debate on the bill. It failed to secure the 60 votes needed for passage, with 50 senators voting in favor and 49 against. The procedural vote's failure did not kill the bill itself.

Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies fell at the time of the vote, but the market has since rebounded.
