Cybersecurity has returned to the centre of crypto news after agencies linked North Korea's WaterPlum campaign to approximately $10.7 million in stolen funds and credentials. Attackers used fake recruitment interviews and coding assignments to compromise more than 30,000 devices across 100 countries, affecting over 7,000 cryptocurrency wallets.
The incident makes security and verifiable utility more important as markets recover. Bitcoin supplies decentralised monetary security, Cardano emphasises methodical protocol design, and Remittix
enters the watchlist with a CertiK-audited PayFi platform and several products already visible before launch. That combination could turn trust into a meaningful competitive advantage for RTX.

WaterPlum, also called Contagious Interview, reportedly impersonates recruiters and asks developers to run malicious code during technical assessments. The malware can steal wallet credentials, maintain remote access and reuse compromised identities for further attacks.
