PUMP Targets $0.003 After Derivatives Volume Jumps 164% Yellow.com

Pump.fun (PUMP) rose 11.1% to $0.002729 as heavier derivatives trading and renewed exchange outflows pushed the token toward $0.003 resistance.

Key Points:

  • PUMP gained 11.1% while spot volume rose 133.22% and derivatives volume increased 163.85%.
  • Open interest reached $229.24 million, adding leverage that could increase volatility around the breakout.
  • The token remains below $0.003, while an overbought RSI suggests buyers may need consolidation before another attempt.

PUMP Rally

PUMP’s spot trading volume jumped 133.22% over 24 hours to $158.7 million, while derivatives volume climbed 163.85% to $429.88 million as traders increased activity around the move.

Open interest rose 20.67% to $229.24 million, showing that outstanding leveraged positions expanded alongside the price rather than shrinking during the rally. That adds momentum, but it also raises liquidation risk if the breakout weakens.

Exchange flows also turned supportive again. CoinGlass data showed roughly $3 million in outflows on Aug. 7, followed by a $2.27 million net inflow on Aug. 8 and then about $124,000 in renewed net outflows.

PUMP Signals

The market’s participation mix became less clearly bullish as CoinGlass’ Whale vs. Retail Delta fell to about -0.06 after remaining positive through much of the previous period. The shift indicates retail traders gained influence relative to whales.

Price structure still favors another test of $0.003 after PUMP cleared $0.00260, which now acts as the nearest support area, according to the technical setup cited in the report. A TradingView snapshot showed the advance reaching $0.002887 before easing toward $0.002815.

Momentum is stretched. The relative strength index rose to 77.59, above the 70 overbought threshold and its 64.22 average, increasing the chance of consolidation before another sustained breakout attempt.

Since mid-July, PUMP has continued to form higher highs and higher lows, while the recent flow pattern has shifted from heavy withdrawals to a brief inflow and back to modest outflows.

That history leaves $0.00260 as the key nearby support while $0.003 remains the next major test.
