Bitcoin has recently traded around the $80,000 area after reaching $82,400 before the latest U.S. payrolls report. The employment data lifted expectations for a September rate hike toward 60%, putting pressure on risk assets. Yet BTC finished the week up 3.45%, showing that buyers continued to defend the recovery. Current market data also shows Bitcoin near $78,000, leaving the $80,000-$82,000 region as an important test.
Bitcoin Rally Gains Institutional Support
Wintermute’s latest market update points to $987 million of net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs during the week. That marked a third consecutive positive week and brought cumulative inflows during the streak to roughly $3.8 billion. Thursday alone generated $731 million, the strongest daily inflow since January.
