The disclosure does not separate crypto income from Witkoff’s other businesses, and it lands a week before a Senate vote Democrats have tied to conflict-of-interest rules.

Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump‘s special envoy for Ukraine and the Middle East, reported $107 million in 2025 income from the holding company that owned his stake in World Liberty Financial, the Trump family crypto venture he helped launch. Bloomberg first reported the figure Tuesday from a recent financial disclosure.

The disclosure reportedly does not include the value or income of the underlying assets inside Witkoff’s holding companies, so it does not show how much of the $107 million came from World Liberty Financial LLC, which issues the USD1 stablecoin and sold the WLFI token. Income from the same entity was $34 million in 2024. ABC News reported Wednesday that the filings were obtained by a government watchdog.

Why this matters

The disclosure could intensify conflict-of-interest scrutiny around a major U.S. crypto market-structure bill that Senate Democrats have declined to advance without related safeguards. It also suggests that financial ties to World Liberty may remain a material political and regulatory risk for the venture as it seeks to expand into banking.

The number is landing in the middle of the fight over the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. Senate Democrats have refused to advance the market structure bill without a conflict-of-interest provision covering the president and his family, and Republican senators said this week that the bill fails next Tuesday if the White House will not move on that language.
