Zcash [ZEC] spent months absorbing supply between the $364.24 floor and $560 ceiling, gradually building pressure beneath resistance. Once buyers cleared $560, large 4-hour candles drove Zcash through $680 with almost no horizontal consolidation.

This rapid advance exposed an overhead liquidity gap, allowing aggressive orders to push the price toward $858.62 before sellers responded.

Sellers eventually placed their limit orders, creating a large upper wick that pulled price back downward toward $760. Moments later, profit-taking interrupted the impulsive movement.

However, longs were again able to absorb that new supply quickly, pushing ZEC back to $797.39 and holding the pullback above $680. At press time, the RSI had dropped to 69.88, indicating that overbought momentum was beginning to normalize rather than collapsing.

At the same time, the MACD was still trending upwards, but the narrowing histogram showed that the momentum was cooling. As a result, this structure places immediate support at $761 (white line), while $820–$840 remains the active supply zone.

Price is therefore consolidating near the expansion’s upper range, with $858.62 still defining the market’s unresolved resistance level.
