As advances in artificial intelligence agents and real-world asset tokenization accelerate, smaller digital assets beyond Bitcoin, Ether and XRP could be bigger beneficiaries, according to a market analysis.

Forbes reported on October 10 that Citrini Research, in a recent report, said AI agents and asset tokenization will be new growth engines for the digital-asset market. The firm argued that it cannot be assumed Bitcoin, Ether and XRP will hit fresh all-time highs in this new era, and that even if they do, better investment opportunities may still exist elsewhere.

Citrini Research said blockchain's role as financial infrastructure will come into sharper focus in a world where AI agents carry out financial transactions on behalf of humans. Because those agents operate 24 hours a day across multiple applications, funds and financial assets will also move the same way, it said.
