Bitcoin exchange-traded fund flows have turned volatile, while altcoin ETFs have recorded their first outflows, according to Moomoo. The shift points to changing investor demand across crypto-linked exchange-traded products, with Bitcoin funds seeing less consistent movement and products tied to alternative digital assets facing withdrawals.

ETF flows track money entering and leaving funds, typically through investor purchases, sales, subscriptions or redemptions. They can offer a snapshot of market positioning, but do not by themselves establish the reasons behind investor decisions or predict future performance.

Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency by market prominence, while altcoins is a broad term generally used for digital assets other than Bitcoin.
