Bank Leumi ($LUMI), Israel's biggest lender, is partnering with Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: $GLXY) to offer cryptocurrency trading to its customers.

The crypto trading will be available starting in 2027, making Bank Leumi the first Israeli lender to provide such a service.

Customers of Leumi and its mobile app will be able to buy, hold, and sell Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH), and Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL) through the bank's app. 

Galaxy Digital will provide trading services through "GalaxyOne Institutional," its platform for banks and asset managers. 

Bank Leumi has also signed an agreement to use Galaxy's custody infrastructure to support the crypto trading.

The partnership gives New York-based Galaxy Digital a banking partner in Israel and enables Bank Leumi to provide crypto access to its customers. 

Bank Leumi has said that cryptocurrencies and digital assets are an increasingly important part of the global financial system. 

LUMI stock has risen 20% over the last year on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. GLXY stock has declined 25% in the past 12 months to trade at $21.58 U.S. per share in New York.
