The enterprise quantum computing market will surge to over $18 billion by 2030, according to a new report, though it will still only represent two percent of the $955 billion Cloud Services market. The Business Research Company forecasts a 31% compound annual growth rate through the end of the decade, despite quantum computing comprising just 0.1% of the overall $13.788 trillion Information Technology industry. Understanding this ecosystem is important for recognizing opportunities for innovation, growth and strategic alliances in this rapidly advancing field.

$18 Billion Forecast for Enterprise Quantum Computing by 2030

Hardware components are projected to command the largest share of the enterprise quantum computing market by 2030, accounting for 47% of the total value, or $9 billion. This dominance stems from ongoing progress in the development of high-performance quantum processors and increased investment in the infrastructure needed for stable operations, including cryogenic systems and quantum control mechanisms. Improvements in qubit architecture are also significantly contributing to enhanced reliability and capabilities within these systems.

The Business Research Company forecasts that this hardware segment will be a key driver of overall market expansion in the coming years. North America is expected to be the leading regional market for enterprise quantum computing in 2030, with a projected valuation of $6.9 billion, a substantial increase from $2.0 billion in 2025.
