US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) flipped to net outflows after four consecutive sessions of inflows. According to data compiled by SoSoValue on September 8 (local time), a total of $46.65 million (approximately 62 billion won) exited US spot bitcoin ETFs on the day, reversing the prior inflow streak in a single session.

Grayscale's GBTC led the outflows, shedding $65.51 million (approximately 88 billion won) on its own and driving the bulk of the category-wide redemptions. Fidelity's FBTC also saw $17.05 million (approximately 23 billion won) flow out, while Invesco's BTCO recorded outflows of $4.68 million (approximately 6.3 billion won).

Inflows into several products partially offset the decline. Bitwise's BITB posted the largest net inflow at $14.47 million (approximately 19 billion won), while BlackRock's IBIT took in $10.66 million (approximately 14 billion won). ARK Invest's ARKB attracted $8.06 million (approximately 11 billion won), and Morgan Stanley's MSBT saw $7.41 million (approximately 9.9 billion won) in net inflows. The remaining products recorded no net flows.

The outflow represents a pause in the strong inflow trend seen over recent weeks. During August, US spot bitcoin ETFs pulled in $3.52 billion (approximately 4.7 trillion won), marking the best month of the year. An additional $3.8 billion (approximately 5.1 trillion won) flowed in over the three weeks through early September. On September 3 alone, $730.9 million (approximately 980 billion won) entered the category, and the week ended September 5 saw $986.9 million (approximately 1.3 trillion won) in inflows.
