Bitcoin dip-to-$75,000 odds jump 25 points on Polymarket after the $80K rejection. A Polymarket contract asking whether Bitcoin will trade down to $75,000 during August priced a roughly 40% chance of YES as of August 24, 2026, up about 25 points in a single day. The repricing followed a sharp rejection near $80,000 and heavy profit-taking, even as record spot ETF inflows and a Treasury-fueled rally left Bitcoin trading in the high $70,000s.

What the Polymarket bet is actually asking
The contract lives inside Polymarket’s “What price will Bitcoin hit in August 2026?” event, a set of threshold markets that each resolve YES if Bitcoin trades at a given level before the month ends. The $75,000 line is unusual this month because Bitcoin has already been on both sides of it. After spending early August in the low $60,000s, Bitcoin rocketed higher and reclaimed $75,000 on the way up. The live question now is whether a pullback drags price back down to touch $75,000 again before August 31.
That framing matters. A “dip to $75,000” is not a crash call. With Bitcoin near $77,000, it is a bet on ordinary volatility, a move of only a few percentage points from where the market sits today. If you are new to how these contracts translate crowd money into a percentage, our explainer on how prediction markets work walks through the mechanics.
