Bitwise Advances Chainlink ETF Bid With New SEC Filing as LINK Surges

Bitwise Asset Management has moved its proposed Chainlink exchange-traded fund deeper into the U.S. regulatory pipeline, submitting an updated prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Commission as the price of LINK climbed more than 20%.

The asset manager filed a 424B3 prospectus and a post-effective amendment for the product, according to records in the SEC's EDGAR system. The documents update the terms and disclosures tied to the proposed fund, which is linked to a proposed listing on NYSE Arca. If ultimately approved, the vehicle would give traditional brokerage account holders direct access to LINK, the token that powers the Chainlink oracle network.

A 424B3 filing is a disclosure document used to deliver offering terms to prospective investors once a registration becomes effective. It is not itself an approval. The SEC retains full authority to request amendments, issue comment letters, delay a decision, or reject the product outright. But reaching this stage signals that Bitwise is actively maintaining and refining its application rather than letting it sit dormant.
