to Farside Investors data. The launch marks BlackRock's second Ethereum product, following the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF, ticker ETHA, which has accumulated nearly $12 billion in inflows since it launched in July 2024.

BlackRock's head of digital assets, Robert Mitchnick,

addressed

the firm's broader product strategy on CNBC's Crypto World segment on Friday. He acknowledged that other asset managers are experimenting with more complex cryptoETF structures. "Will we see some more exotic structures coming into the space? I think no question," Mitchnick said. "Some of those will be interesting. Some of them will resonate with investors."

He was clear, however, that BlackRock would not mirror that approach. "We will take a discerning approach in thinking about where else we would expand in this," Mitchnick said. He added that while investor interest is concentrated in
