- Crypto inflows reportedly reached $50 billion in 2026.
- The report links the inflow milestone to the prospect of stronger fourth-quarter momentum.
- The excerpt does not specify which assets, funds, or regions accounted for the inflows.
The bank's analysts, led by managing director Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, estimate that the current annualized inflow rate of about $66 billion now exceeds the $52 billion pace calculated in May, though it remains approximately half the level recorded in 2025. The improvement reflects a broadening of demand beyond the corporate treasury purchases and venture funding that dominated the first half of the year.
A shift in the flow composition
During the opening months of 2026, Strategy's aggressive Bitcoin accumulation and crypto venture capital activity supplied most of the market's new capital. Crypto ETFs, by contrast, acted as a drag on flows after heavy withdrawals in May and June. That dynamic began to reverse in August, when ETF activity recovered and turned positive for the calendar year.
The recovery, however, remains uneven. Measured from the market correction that began on October 10, 2025, cumulative ETF flows are still negative. Recent trading sessions have underscored that fragility: on October 7, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $484.9 million in net outflows, the largest single-day redemption since June 25, according to data from Farside Investors. BlackRock's IBIT lost $207.7 million, Fidelity's FBTC shed $105.1 million, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB saw $101.7 million in withdrawals. U.S. spot Ether ETFs extended their outflow streak to seven consecutive sessions with $160.9 million leaving those funds on the same day.
