FBI Seizes $560,000 In Crypto And Donor Records Tied To Hamas Fundraising Network

US authorities have announced a multi-stage effort to interrupt digital fundraising tied to Hamas, reporting that more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency intended for the group has been taken into government custody.

The Justice Department said court-authorized actions also allowed the FBI to assume control of websites, servers, and related communication platforms used to solicit donations and attract supporters.

According to officials, the seized digital assets and online infrastructure were operated on behalf of Hamas’s military wing, the Al Qassam Brigades. Investigators described a fundraising model that mixed encrypted chats, a public website, and a rotating set of cryptocurrency addresses.

The group, they said, sought donations from supporters around the world and tried to move money outside conventional banking channels.

Hamas has been designated a foreign terrorist organization by the United States.

The $560,000 figure was not the product of a single raid.

Court records released with the announcement show three cryptocurrency seizure warrants executed on March 25, June 25, and October 10, 2025.

Agents used information from multiple human sources to identify wallets, follow the flow of funds across blockchains, and take control of addresses and exchange accounts tied to the campaign.
