Grayscale Files for Bittensor (TAO) ETF on NYSE Arca

The asset manager is seeking to bring a TAO-linked exchange-traded fund to the New York Stock Exchange's Arca platform.

Grayscale is pushing forward with a plan to bring a Bittensor-linked exchange-traded fund to NYSE Arca, according to reports from CoinGape and The Cryptonomist. The filing would mark another step in Grayscale's ongoing effort to translate its existing crypto investment products into listed, exchange-traded structures.

Bittensor, known by its native token TAO, is a decentralized machine-learning network. It rewards participants for contributing computational resources to a peer-to-peer system designed to incentivize open artificial intelligence development. TAO has drawn attention from investors looking for exposure to the intersection of blockchain technology and AI infrastructure.

Grayscale has built a reputation for converting trust-based crypto products into ETFs once regulatory pathways open up. The firm previously moved its Bitcoin and Ethereum trusts into exchange-traded formats after years of filings and legal pressure. A Bittensor ETF would extend that strategy into a smaller, more specialized corner of the digital asset market.

Listing on NYSE Arca would give the proposed fund access to one of the most liquid and widely used exchange platforms in the United States. NYSE Arca has already hosted several cryptocurrency ETFs, including products tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum. A TAO listing there would signal growing institutional appetite for altcoin-based investment vehicles beyond the two largest cryptocurrencies.
