The headlines surrounding Artificial Intelligence's rapid advancement have been tough to digest recently. Talk of human extinction from the very people developing the technology carried an ominous warning.

Earlier this month, AI researcher Jacob Coxon resigned from his job at Anthropic, the maker of the AI app Claude, over concerns AI developers were "gambling with our lives" to develop more advanced AI models.

"It doesn't look that different from, say, Terminator or from science fiction films. It will be smart enough to kill us," Coxon told CBS News.

Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, mirrored the concern.

"If we build in the right way, I think the probability of something bad happening is very low. If we build in the wrong way, the probability of something bad happening is very high," said Amodei.

If these grim forecasts have been weighing on you, WCCO wanted to know how to manage anxiety caused by AI.

"It's reasonable to be concerned, but we obviously want to talk about when does it become problematic in your life right now. When is it consuming day-to-day?" said Jenny Matthews.
