Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) has surged approximately 45% since its June close, reaching about $84,883 as of September 27, 2026. However, it still needs to climb another 49% to reclaim its peak of $126,198 from October 2025. The key question for Bitcoin this cycle is whether it can break new records or just recover from last year’s downturn.

Bitcoin Has Climbed 45% Since June but Trades a Third Below Its 2025 Record

In June, Bitcoin closed at $58,524 and then rose to $63,694 in July. The upward trend continued through August and September, meaning that an investment of $1,000 in Bitcoin at the end of June is now valued at around $1,450. Bitcoin has gained 41.7% over the past 90 days and 31.8% over the last 60 days. Most of this increase occurred after July.
