Even before powerful quantum computers arrive, vulnerabilities are emerging in quantum networks. QURECA and Paraxiom Technologies are collaborating to address a present-day threat to Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems: the insecure classical channels used to deliver encryption keys, susceptible to “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks.

QURECA will be a European market entry point for Paraxiom’s Post-Quantum Transport Gateway, aiming for a pilot deployment and using its over 40 CPD-certified courses to assess quantum-safe exposure. “Organisations across Europe are asking how to secure every link in their quantum-safe networks,” says Dr. Araceli Venegas-Gomez, CEO and Founder of QURECA, “Working with Paraxiom, we can introduce them to a practical, standards-based solution.”

Post-Quantum Transport Gateway Secures QKD Key Delivery

Paraxiom Technologies’ Post-Quantum Transport Gateway (PQTG) has undergone interoperability testing against two commercial key delivery systems using the ETSI GS QKD 014 interface, demonstrating compatibility with existing quantum infrastructure. This testing confirms the gateway’s ability to function within established quantum key distribution networks without requiring hardware modifications, which is important for rapid deployment. The PQTG addresses a specific vulnerability in QKD systems: the classical channels used to deliver keys generated by quantum means, which remain susceptible to attacks from both current and future computing capabilities.
