BW-Bank, the retail banking brand of LBBW, has officially expanded its digital investment offering to include crypto trading for self-directed investors.

Building on LBBW’s established partnership with Bitpanda Enterprise, German customers have now received access to the crypto investment platform Bitpanda via their securities account to buy and sell selected crypto-assets..

Extending infrastructure from institutional to retail

The rollout marks a significant expansion of Bitpanda Enterprise’s relationship with LBBW Group. While the partnership initially focused on digital asset infrastructure for institutional and corporate clients, it now extends to BW-Bank’s retail user base.

This launch reflects a broader structural evolution across the German banking landscape: investor demand for digital assets is moving beyond specialist platforms into traditional, personal finance environments.
