SUI and BCH Outpace Bitcoin and Ethereum in Crypto Rally

The crypto market experienced another broad advance this past week, with gains spread across most large assets even as the pace varied sharply. SUI and BCH ran far ahead of the field, while BTC and ETH rose more slowly and remained closer to the middle of their recent ranges.

That mix matters because a wide market can still depend heavily on a few fast leaders.

Participation broadened into the Saturday close, but the return gap between the leaders and the largest assets remained substantial. The next test is whether the wider group can keep moving while the leaders digest, or whether that performance gap begins to pull the broader count lower.

Crypto Market Breadth Strengthens as Large Caps Lag

Total crypto market capitalization stood near $2.896 trillion after Saturday's candle closed, up 0.55% over 24 hours. A reconstructed rolling seven-day screening showed the measure rose 5.46%.

Eighty-seven of the top 100 assets were positive over seven days, against 13 negative. A cleaned top-50 screen showed 37 positive names and 3 negative, with a +12.58% median and a +5.89% cap-weighted return. The 6.69 percentage-point gap shows established assets outran the largest names.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin dominance was 58.7% after BTC gained 4.90% on CoinMarketCap's rolling week, while Ether (ETH) gained 4.19%, leaving both below the cleaned median. Strength extended across several groups, led by a +18.96% median for the payments and value-transfer basket. Large L1s had a +11.36% median, while relative laggards included TRX at -2.02%, BNB at +2.83%, BTC, and ETH.
